Thanks for dropping in.

Here is a little bit of information about me… I have degrees in both Social Work (Honours) and Health Science (Rehabilitation Counselling) and a Diploma in Sound Healing (The Sound Healing Academy, United Kingdom). I am committed to providing therapy that is compassionate, effective, and tailored to each individual. I have experience in a variety of areas including health and physical illness, trauma, sexual health, mental health, occupational rehabilitation, and generalist counselling. I have also taught and lectured in both corporate and educational settings.

I have a particular interest in the gut - brain axis which regulates processes such as mood, digestion, and the stress response, highlighting the deep interdependence between mental wellbeing and gut health. I am passionate about working intuitively to uncover the root cause of illness and distress. My approach is somatic, using a mixture of mindfulness based therapies and sound healing, to anchor into the body’s innate wisdom. My approach is led by you, aiming to build on your strengths and triumphs. I offer a gentle and playful space for addressing the hurt parts of ourselves that we all carry around.

I also enjoy supervising therapists and working with organisations to develop healthy workplace cultures and high functioning teams.

My philosophy

I love working with my fellow humans as we honour the deeply sensitive parts of our learning history and seek wholehearted connection in what can sometimes feel like an insensitive world. I genuinely believe that we wake each day wanting life to be the best it can be, yet sometimes, because of our life experience or our pain, we end up playing roles that see us getting further from the person that we want to be.

I see our work together as similar to a Sherpa on a mountain climb; I have made a lot of journeys and I know some shortcuts, I will carry your bag for you, but this journey is ultimately yours and you are the expert of this walk. Sometimes people feel that therapy ‘makes things worse’… it is true that being with our feelings can be painful however, our aim is to bring to the surface feelings and ideas that may have been denied or disowned for years. By doing this, we can release long held pain to make room for a more connected relationship with yourself and pave the way for better days ahead.
